Present: Bill Brown, David Gehrig, Carol Inskeep, Esther Patt, Stephen Portnoy, Richard Schnuer, Lynne Rudasill,  Shirley Stillinger, Paul Wisovaty,

 

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. by the chair, Esther Patt.  The March  minutes were approved as distributed.  The treasurer’s report showing total assets of $5,678.11 was accepted.

 

Old Business

 

a) April 6 annual meeting

Bill, Lynne, Paul, and David volunteered to work at the two doors.

Lynne will present the report of the nominating committee.

Carol Inskeep will bring the UPTV camera and provide a cameraman.

 

B) April 5 state-wide summit

Esther, Paul, and David will attemd

 

New Business

 

a) Legislative update: HB5615, which would establish the right of choice and provide for compre­hensive sex education is stalled.  The Illinois Divison would like for our chapter to get together with Planned Parenthood to educate the public over the next year.

 

b) Freedom Files: Bill Brown has ordered all nine new CD’s; we will ask UPTV to run them.

 

c) Farmer’s Market table: Steve suggested asking for volunteers at the annual meeting.  We plan to have a table for two weeks in the beginning, then once a month.

 

d) Fourth of July: there will also be sign-up sheets at the annual meeting for people interested in marching in the parade.

 

Esther asked the committee to be thinking about activities and issues we want to undertake in the coming year.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 7:50.
